portfolio refresh

i need help picking 30 images for my portfolio, and getting rid of the rest.

so in the coming weeks i'll be doing some sort of poll and trying to figure out what to use, and what to keep out. 

btw, i added some more images to my portfolio.

photo shoots

i've been doing quite a few photo shoots lately, as you can imagine if you've read any of my previous posts. 

actually, i haven't posted anything about this, so i will now. 

im currently in 6th gear (on a 5 gear engine), working over time and pumping out shoot after shoot after shoot after shoot in order to print my portfolio by the end of september, maybe even sooner.

RIGHT NOW, i have approximately  7-8 images that i am SUPER PROUD of. when im finished with this, i want to have 30+ images that i am super proud of. 

i want every shoot to be better than the next. 

so with that being said, here are some shoots i've done recently. 

the last one is a re-edit of a previous picture i've done.

the second to last one, with the truck, was a LAST SECOND idea, and with no advance planning, we did it - i was pretty happy with how it came out. 

the man in the suit is my friend aldo, and it is for a show called madmen, and he is trying to just walk on, and if the picture is good enough, he just might be used as an extra. 

the last two are images i had been wanting to do for a while...sort of. 

i actually wanted to do this image when i first started the shoot, but ended up being most happy with these images. the first one is of my brother, and i was really happy with how it came out. 

the second one is of my friend samuel, and i thought it looked pretty sweet; while editing, i got the crazy slogan, and decided to stamp it on there. 

and i have like three more shoots this week, and more next week.

IBC banking

so i THINK i might apply at IBC.

i'm always depositing money there, and i know all everybody there, so why not? 

i need a part time job - maybe 20 hours a week - and they can offer me that.

and they've told me that they can work around my schedule... so no working on saturdays and sundays (weddings and church, respectively), and just working in the mornings. 

hmm. this could be fun. 

on a similar note, i've been trying to get the teller to let me take pictures of her - and she finally agreed. she's super cute, so this is gonna be fun. :)

part time job

that's something i need.

i don't work nearly enough during the summer hours.

this is lame. 

i need to be making more money, stashing money, and buying equipment. 

this is NOT good.

their new cd, armistice, is really, really, really awesome. 

the music is just phenomenal - i can't wait to see them in october! 

the substance, on the other hand, is a bit disappointing.

i was hoping they might go back to their Christian roots...

alas, they have not. 

balmorhea

id like to take a trip out to balmorhea state park before the summer is over.

22-28 MILLION gallons of fresh water flow through this park every DAY. 

going snorkeling would be so sweet. 

my plan is to go late, late august, or early september, and probably just stay one night.

mmh, imagine the underwater pictures i could take!
